I work with adults and older teens to help define and sort out issues and to support coping abilities. I am committed to listening to you until you feel I understand, and to creating a place in which you do not have to defend or prove yourself as we clarify and explore needs and desires and develop strategies to meet them.

I believe real change comes from connecting with our experience as well as our beliefs.  There are many life factors that can keep us from truly knowing or valuing our own experience.  That may not sound like a big deal, but I have learned, over many years of being a counselor, that it is one of the most crucial dynamics of being happy, feeling satisfied and successful, and developing good relationships.
I work with people who feel depressed, stressed, anxious, like they don't belong on this planet, or who have experienced trauma. I don't offer cookie-cutter techniques....we partner together to figure out what is going on with you and how healing can best happen for you.

I am a counselor because I want to provide a supportive presence to
