Fee For Services

You are here: Home / New Clients / Fee For Services

Our fees for marriage, child, and mental health counseling, as well as life coaching are on a sliding scale based on household income.

We do not require documentation of income; we are on the honor system.

All of our counselors offer FREE phone consultations to all new clients and couples. These can be arranged by calling the office at 407.355.7378 . During your FREE phone consultation please discuss any fee questions you may have with your therapist.

Sessions are 50 minutes in length.

*At Life Skills Resource Group, we have registered mental health counseling interns who have completed graduate school and are working toward hours for licensure. Our interns offers all fees on our sliding scale based on income, ranging from $70 to $135 per session.

Regarding the other therapists and life coach at Life Skills Resource Group, each individual has different fees based on their years of experience, depth of knowledge, and the demand for their services. Please speak directly to the therapist you are interested in working with or ask our assistant who can help you determine the sliding scale fee for each therapist as pricing varies.

Cancellation Policy

We have a 24-hour cancellation policy.  If you do not show up for your scheduled appointment, and you have not notified us at least 24 hours in advance by phone (no email cancellations please), you will be required to pay your session fee.

We are primarily a self-pay practice, but we are able to assist with your insurance. We are happy to check with your insurance company about your out-of-network mental health benefits. If you would like us to contact your insurance company on your behalf, please complete this Insurance Verification Form and we will contact your insurance company.  We will not seek any pre-authorization without your approval. We promise to get back to you within 24 hours to discuss how your benefit works at our office (on Monday for forms submitted Friday and Saturday).

Please note that although we are happy to assist with your insurance, all information provided to us by insurance companies is based on current information and actual coverage information may prove to be different when a detailed Explanation of Benefits is received with the insurance payment.  We also cannot accept responsibility for collecting or for negotiating a settlement of a disputed claim.  You are responsible for any balance that your insurance carrier does not pay.

An important note about insurance coverage

Insurance payment for mental health visits is based on medical necessity, which means that you must have a “diagnosable” disorder and your counselor must provide information about the services provided to you to your insurance company.  This is true for all types of counseling.  If you want to use your insurance, your counselor will be assessing during your first visit if you have a “diagnosable” disorder.  If this is the case, we will be happy to help you get your counseling covered, but be aware that you will be diagnosed and that this diagnosis becomes a permanent part of your medical record.

Please also be aware that in most, but not all, cases marriage or relationship counseling is not a covered insurance benefit.  As above, your counselor will be assessing during the first visit if one or both of the spouses has a “diagnosable” disorder that would allow insurance coverage.

Life Coaching is not covered by insurance.
